vericecles?

For those who's DH had vericeceles - did he have the surgery to repair it? If so, did you see an improvement? How long?

We were thinking to do the surgery if this 3rd iui/w clomid didn't work and it didn't, but now the RE is saying we can do a 4th round. I'm wondering if we should still simultaneously do the surgery, but its kinda scary. I mean I know its actually quite minor, but still it's surgery and DH is really nervous about it.

we did not do it. We were told that it really wouldnt have done much for us. They say it takes at least 6 months to see an improvement. All i can say is to make sure he needs it. I know 2 people who had it done and were later told it wasn't necessary!

Has he gotten a semen analysis? What is his count,morphology,etc...that will really determine whether it will be worth it or not.. My DH had a great count but only 9% were normal shaped. IUI luckily worked for us because all else was ok.
