(TMI) Discharge versus "leaking"?
For a week, I have been having some strange spasms, mostly in my pelvis and abdominal area, but my arms and legs are spasming too. I actually had this on occassion before being pregnant. My doctor is not concerned about it, though. But it is very disconcerting and uncomfortable.
I have had some discharge throughout the pregnancy (I am 22 weeks now), but today the discharge was definitely more. I don't know if the spasms are related to this.
How can you tell the difference between typical discharge or if you are leaking fluid?
TIA

I think the only way to tell for sure is to have the doctor check it. They look at the fluid and make sure it's not amniotic fluid.

I agree with this. A few weeks ago I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid. It seemed more watery than usual. It ended up being nothing serious at all, but I had the doctor check it out.

if you have any doubts and think you might be leaking you need to let your doctor know ASAP. My doc was very upset with me when i didnt tell him right away and i ended up in L&D
