Hi
Can I join you guys? Just found out I was preggers last night and I haven't slept a wink.
I'm going to call the doc when they open. So what do they do the 1st app?

Basically at my first appointment with DD they just confirmed the pregnancy, went through some do's and don't's, gave me my prescription for pre-natals, and ordered a ton of blood work. They had me come back about 3 weeks later for the first u/s to see the heartbeat and go over my blood work.
Even though I already said it on the TTC board...CONGRATS!

Congrats and welcome!!
Your first appt isn't usually until around 7/8 weeks along. So hang in there till then (with us  ) and try and eat right and take care of yourself till then. We're here to answer any questions!

Congratulations! 
At my first appt. I had bloodwork, PAP and an internal exam. Then I set up appt's for a sono (at 6weeks) and an OB appt for 7 weeks. The OB appt. there was a ton of bloodwork and we were able to talk with the Dr. about what to eliminate from diet/lifestyle and what type of excercise is ok, etc.

Congratulations!
Most docs won't see you until you are 6-8 weeks along. At the first appointment they usually take your history & DHs. They will weigh you & possibly draw blood as well. They may set you up an appointment for a sono depending on the doc.

Congrats and welcome!!!
At my first appointment which was at 8 weeks they listened to the heart beat and did an internal sonogram. And they ordered a bunch of blood work and gave me the prescription for the vitamins and told us what to do and what not to do.
