Need suggestions...

My husband, daughter and I are thinking of traveling to Rome. Does anyone know of any hotels that are right in the middle of everything. It would be great if we had a hotel close enough that we could go back for a rest. Thanks

It depends... We stayed at a hotel inbetween the Vatican and Spanish steps, but I think Rome is pretty big. DH and I were out all day and scheduled our days to where we're going to be. THe Vatican was a full day, another day we did the Spanish steps Trevi fountain and everything over there and another day we went to the Collosium. Collosium is the furthest place from the hotel, but most tours and sightseeing did take all day.

My husband and I visited Rome last June. We stayed at the Hotel Parlamento. It is a small family owned hotel not far from the Trevi Fountain. Very basic hotel, but convenient location and very nice family that runs it. You will do a lot of walking in Rome. The hotel is right by a convenient bus stop also.
