Do you use tap water?
when you make your formula (powder). I just spoke to my grandma and she almost had a heart attack when I told her. She yelled at me and told me I have to boil the water. But you know how grandparents are I promised her I would do it until I got a filter. I was thinking I should pick up a brita maybe

Re: Do you use tap water?
You can suse tap water, just gotta check with your town and see whats in it. Some towns have alot of chemicals in their water. I bfed first few months and then did bottled water in formula for dd.. going to do again with baby #2. But they say depending on your town the water is fine to use, with the brita.

Re: Do you use tap water?
We use bottled water...even for the cats too. We did a water test and there is copper is out water. We have the chage the water filter every couple months because it gets clogged with copper so easily. It comes out a rusty red color. If i have to cook with water, i boil it first

Re: Do you use tap water?
I thought I heard tap water is good b/c there's flouride in the water. I usually drink bottled water or or fridge has a filter so I may do both. When out bring a bottle and at home use tap that's been filtered.

Re: Do you use tap water?
When I lived back in Sayville growing up, we had the water tested and it had something like 50xs the amount of chlorine in it. The levels were dangerously high. We got it tested when two of our dogs started growing tumor-like cysts from random parts of their body, and they attributed it to the chemical makeup of the tap water.
From those instances on, I never drank from the tap again. My dogs drink bottled (another debate because god knows if THAT water is even properly filtered), but it's not the tap water that we used to drink from.
Who knows... this was over 15 years ago AND we lived on a court, which they say is worse for tap water because the water doesn't properly circulate out but collects at the pipelines at the end of the court.

Re: Do you use tap water?
DS never took to the powder (too gassy for him) but any time we tried we used tap. He also gets tap water in his sippy.

Re: Do you use tap water?
I would probably use bottled water. We don't drink tap water so I wouldn't feed my baby tap water either.
