would it be out of line?
at the level I to ask the tech if he/she would make a guess at the sex? if they say no they wont im ok with that..but i would hate to not ask and miss the opportunity!

It doesn't hurt to ask. If they are uncomfortable making an educated guess, they will tell you.

I have mine this morning- and i plan on asking!! I already have it in my head that they probably won't be able to tell (i don't want to get disappointed if they can't). But if they do tell me i'll post it later

I asked, but they could not tell. When she was trying she said not to "buy any paint for the nursery" based on the guess. Go for it!

It doesn't hurt to ask, the worst that could happen is the tech could say no or doesn't have a guess at the sex.
