An idea...
Can we make some sort of post where people can post their IF stories and as new ppl join, they can add theirs? I noticed some new names recently and I'm sure trying to "jump in" and figure out where to start is hard...but if we had a place where new (and not as new) ppl could read stories, maybe find someone with similar issues to connect to and post intros I think it would be nice. I have no clue how you get posts to be "pinned" or kept current (except by bumping) but I'm sure some one here knows how!! Anyone interested?? I'd be happy to volunteer to be responsbile for "bumping" a few times a day if that's all it will take.

I'd be interested.
On FF - you can add your signature to each post which is kind of nice because you always have a little "cheat sheet."
As far as getting a post pinned, you can just FM client services and ask.. and hopefully they would agree.

Can people add to it if it's pinned, I notice there are usually 0 replies to pinned posts...
I've been on other boards where you can do signatures or even keep data bases for ppl to add to and others to refer to. I just feel like it's anice thing to have and gives new ppl a place to start from.

I think it's a great idea.
Admin can pin a link to the post... like mine on the TTC board.

That's actually why we have blogs now on the boards.
That was determined for our (LIF sponsored  ) IF GTG- where they asked us what we'd like to see on the boards (specifically and in general).
There's also an "About Me" section under our profiles.... not sure which box we could put our stories in though. That might be a consideration.

That just seems like a lot of work..having to look up each person's profile or blog individually, KWIM?? Plus it doesn't really help out a new person...with a set place to intro themselves. Oh, well, just an idea

We could do it...LIF would not be able to lock it and we would have to make sure it stays bumped.
If LIF locks it, you can't add to it so the only way is to just start the post and as a group keep it on the first page.....

maybe they could work something out that you can contact them to submit your story and they can add it for you
