Question about DR, with update
So, now that I have gone for a 2nd opinion, I would like to switch doctors. Is there a tactful way to go about it? Has anyone switched doctors in the middle of their process and if so, how did you do it?
Update:
So the last 2 days have been full of RE visits. First I went to go see the Donor Specialist within my RE's office to go over the details of the donor process and answer any questions that we may have before deciding if and when we will use a donor . While there, she decided to take me off the Estrace since it wasn't working. I have to do a round of Provera and see if I "happen to throw a random egg out" afterwards. Yeah, like thats likely! Then basically I can choose to wait and see if my body will produce anything on its own or start the donor process. So...I am at a standstill.
Today I went to get a 2nd opinion with Dr. Kenigsberg. This went very well. I felt more comfortable with both him and his office staff. I liked his demeanor and approach much better than Dr. San Roman's. Though my option aren't much different, He did suggest that if I am considering going through the expense of using a donor, to consider having my Uterine Fibroid removed b/c its so large. Something Dr. San Roman didn't even want to discuss. I didnt expect to be thinking about that during all of this.
After all of this DH and I discussed all of our options. I think I am going to get the fibroid removed, so that eventually, it will increase my chances of success with the donor. I think we are going to hold off until at least the end of the year to really go into action with a donor. There is so much involved that we want to take our time in figuring it out. Plus, DH is hopeful that my body will mysteriously produce an egg. (I keep telling him not to get his hopes up!)

Re: Question about DR, with update
I had been with my RE for a while, so I sent him and my nurse an email when I left the practice, just as a courtesy. the nurse responded, he never did... GL!!!

Re: Question about DR, with update
I have used two RE's - SanRoman and Dr. K. I was so unhappy with SanRoman and RSNY that I started consulting with other RE's. Of those, I liked Dr. K the best. And he found a few things that RSNY refused to look/test for and was much more approachable and honest with his diagnoses. If they are taking you off meds, I would get your records from them (it should take a few days) and then either go back to Dr. K or consult with someone else to see what they have to say.

Re: Question about DR, with update
I switched to Dr. K from East Coast Fertility- but I had only gone once, so I guess it's really not the same.
I love Dr. K, though and so does DH.
Good luck and I hope everything works out!
