What to expect?
My obgyn wants me in once a month. What do I expect at these appointments? Do they check the cervix? Go over paperwork? Im 14 weeks.

i go once a month until i hit a certain week (i want to say 26 weeks, but i don't remember offhand).
the appointments are typically quick, 'how are you doing?' appointments....(at least mine have been).
they check for the heartbeat with a doppler and make sure you are doing well...

pee in a cup
weight check
blood pressure check
listen to heart beat w/doppler
Done.
ETA: Once you hit a certain week (I think alot of Drs. are different) they will begin to measure your belly. Mine started at 30 weeks. Some Drs. start around 26 or 28 weeks with this

Thanks girls! I honestly wasnt sure if I had to get into a gown. My legs are super not shaved, I really dont have the energy or desire to shave them lol Plus Ive been so tired, I dont even feel like going. Pregnancy hormones are really getting to me lately.

 I never heard of that!
I make all my appointments for first thing in the morning (8:00am), but by then I've already hit the bathroom 4 times!

Yeppers - they give me a new cup every time i go and since appointments aren't usually until the afternoon - to keep it in the fridge. I try to make the appointments for when dave has days off - so we can keep in OUR fridge at home - i just can't bear the though of fresh tinkle in my fridge at work...yikes! I forgot to do it last time and they had me just use that afternoon tinkle...but they prefer FMU.

Well they never told me to give the morning tinkle lol...But I do have to pee in cup and bring it with me to the office. I dont see what the big deal is..why cant I just pee when I get there? lol I have to give it to the receptionist at the front desk too.

weight/blood pressure/questions from nurse (like, do u feel the baby? discharge out of the ordinary, etc)
pee in cup
Dr. does sono every visit for me
