how many months were you (or are you usually) before you can find out the sex of the baby?

Unless you're getting an amnio, it's usually at the Level II (20 weeks). Sometimes they can tell earlier but it's rare and not as accurate.

My technician took an educated guess at 14 weeks because the baby was in perfect position.
Normally you find out at your level II which usually falls between 18-20 weeks.
