Did your birthing class show a video on birthing? I'm scared to watch a birthing video
I haven't signed up for a birthing class yet.
Do all birthing classes show a video showing a vaginal birth?
I feel like it will totally freak me out. I'm such a huge wimp.

Yup, we saw the vaginal birth video.. We saw it last year when prego with dd.. it wasnt that bad, the other videos they showed were  .

At my lamaze class they showed a video on c-sections and not a vaginal birth. I thought that was kind of weird and didn't really pay attention to it since I thought I was going to have a vaginal. When I found out I was having a c-section I was so mad I snoozed through the video

We saw a video, but it wasn't graphic at all. They did show a vaginal birth and a c-section birth, but it really was not bad to watch.

Our class showed a vaginal delivery where the woman delivered with no pain meds and had an episiotomy. I declined to stay for the video. I'm not the type that wants a mirror to watch the birth of my own child so I really didn't feel the need to watch a video. I'm sure it's not too bad to watch but I see no purpose to watching the video.

It was fine. I hadn't seen a video like that since middle school health 
Your own birth will feel so different anyway. It was kind of interesting to see, though.

I am nervous to watch that too. My DH has already said he can't watch that. He even said that he totally wants to be there at the birth of our first child but he just can't stomach watching the baby come out. Im curious how he is going to do at that class when they show that video. Does anyone know when a good time is to take a birthing class?? Certain week of pregnancy good time??

My co-worker said he fainted when his wife gave birth. He doesn't do well with the sight of blood. LOL
I know you are supposed to take your classes in your 3rd trimester. I'm going to try to have all my classes done before 35 weeks, in case the baby comes early. It really depends on when the classes are available. They have limited slots and availability. It's a bit annoying to schedule.
