Can I have a PPD implanted

I am a RN and I just got notice from Employee Health that I am due for my annual PPD and I wasnt sure if it was safe to get in pregnancy.

Does anyone know?

My doctor said it was fine to have a PPD placed. However, I still won't have mine done. I was due for it in late may and I am due in 3 weeks so as you can see my place of employment is not really on the ball!

yes. I get one every year for my job and for some reason I'm always pregnant at the time. I think as long as you're past the first trimester you're ok.

Thanks, I actually just called Employee Health and decided to defer it until after my DD. I am in Education now and i dont have direct patient contact, so I am not worried.
