Hospital Tour?
I am delivering at Huntington Hospital (due in less than 5 weeks) and I have not had a tour (or heard anything about one) yet.
I sent in my pre-registration paper work a couple of weeks ago, but noting.
I guess it's not necessary, but we have never really been there and it would be nice to know what to expect.

Re: Hospital Tour?
You have to set it up. They will not do it for you. call the Maternity ward and check and see if they offer it.

Re: Hospital Tour?
Our hospital does it only on Saturdays at 11am and Thursdays at 230pm.
We were told we could come in at any of those times and the nurse will give the tour.

Re: Hospital Tour?
I did my tour at HH. They do them 1pm on Saturdays but you have to call. They told me about this when I went to one of the classes there.

Ditto. It's worth going to be a bit familiar with the ward and it will make you feel a little more at ease. They have really nice delivery rooms.

Re: Hospital Tour?
I didn't do one - and although it wasn't super necessary, it may have been nice to see everything before the due date.
We were both confused as to where everything was when we got there -
Make sure your husband notes where admitting is for the maternity ward - my DH was given the run around (literally... he had to run from one end of the hospital to the other because it was midnight.) I was waiting and waiting because they can't do anything until you are admitted.
Good luck
