honestly we purchased about 4....the best one was 100,000 trendy baby names....The rest to me were such a waste of paper....some of the names weren't even unusual..they were just so dumb......If you need to read the word grape in a book to name your kid that ...get help LOL...honestly we read the books..set on one name and couldn't think of a name for baby b forever! finally at 28 wks we jsut did but its mainly thru names you hear..on tv...thru this site....word of mouth..you will hear it and it will click...HTH!

DH bought the baby name wizard book. We couldn't agree on names at all. Finally, at 36 weeks, we each went through the book, made a list of names we liked, and then went through each other's list. We came up with a short list of boy and girl names. We finally chose a name in the delivery room after DS was born.

I was wondering if a babyname book was worth purchasing since there are so many names on websites now. I have yet to buy one, but think I would like to.

I have the 60,000+ one. Eh, I don't know that I would recommend it. There are some funny top ten lists for achievers, slackers, etc
But it also has names in it like Blank. 
That is what we all call my baby for now. Mom calls and asks how Blank is doing
