Looks like we had a growth spirt!!

So i was supposed to be 13 weeks, went to the U/S and i am measuring 14 weeks. Im so excited. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon the only thing she said is that i have low lying placenta which was mostly likely the cause of the bleeding. and that i shouldnt worry about it now, b/c it should correct itself. However she said if it doesnt, im going to have to have a C-section. Anyone else experience this?

Re: Looks like we had a growth spirt!!

My placenta was full placenta previa throughout the duration of my pregnancy ( found out about 16 weeks along) and in the past few weeks moved itself and is now considered lowlying...I have bled pretty much consistently throughout ...Its still very early for you and very good chance it will move...I am scheduled for a c-section at 39 weeks ( but am a repaet c- so I was having one regardless)....Don't know if they told you, but just be very easy w/ lifting etc...Some Dr's also put you on plevic rest Chat Icon

thank you so much for your reply, i definitly have to be careful of the lifting. Im a nurse, and i sometimes dont even realize what im lifting, and i am on pelvic rest, so thats no sex, no lifting, and what else should i watch?

Don't know if you excersize ( not a problem of mine Chat Icon ) but they did tell me to be very careful with that ( I actually was on modified bed-rest, but my case was much more severe than yours)...As for pelvic rest, also no douching etc, nothing in the vaj-jay-jay I was told...Lifting was a biggie though, I have not been able to lift my DS in 7 months - and was told to limit it to no more than a gallon of milk- very hard to do though..I'll bet you by your 20 week sono, your lowlying placenta will migrate north and you'll be just fine Chat Icon !!!
