I hate that it has to be like this.

I have been scarred for life by my miscarriage.

I am already freaking out and my blood test was only yesterday. I just swore I was bleeding and my heart stopped. Luckily, it was just leaking from the prog. supps. (sorry tmi).

I don't know how I am going to make it until monday, the next beta.

Would it be stupid if I bought more HPT's and just tested every other day? Or should I call the RE and see if I can schedule my next beta for Friday instead of Monday?

I say do what makes you feel better and gives you peace of mind Chat Icon If it means going to dollar tree and getting a test for every day, then do it...i would call and ask for Friday beta so you don't have to wait around all weekend...

But your # yesterday sounded great! Chat Icon

I know exactly how you feel Jen. I think about this all the time.... wondering what a worry wart I'll be when/if I get preg again. Its not fair how the experience of a miscarriage can take away the joy of pregnancy.

Honestly, I would not waste the money on pregnancy tests.

I am sure you will be fine. I have had 3 m/c's...worrying will not change the future and will not change the outcome. I am so sorry to be so direct. Chat Icon Please do not take it the wrong way, it is not meant to discourage you.

I would ask to have another beta tomorrow so you can make sure the numbers doubled within that 48 hours.

Would that ease your fears a little bit?

sorry to crash - but i can't imagine how scary the idea of a miscarriage is, and if testing every day makes you feel better then why not? you can go to the dollar tree and stock up on cheap $1 tests.

however, a positive test is not a guarantee, as i know you have seen on here Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

do what makes YOU happy. after i got my BFP i tested almost every day for 2 weeks until i saw the doctor. it helped me ease my mind, even though in retrospect it didn't mean much medically speaking.

good luck and lots of sticky dust!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

This is how I got through the first few weeks, and even now. I had to keep reminding myself that there really is nothing I can do to prevent a miscarriage, and that worrying constantly about it wouldn't make it any better. So everyday I try to put those thoughts out of my head and instead focus on this miracle that I worked so hard for... it goes quickly, you don't want to spend the entire time obsessing with anxiety. Try to enjoy the moment Chat Icon

Re: I hate that it has to be like this.

I agree with Beth. I have also suffered pregnancy loss and had a fair amount of bleeding with my healthy twins. Actually many healthy pregnancies have bleeding so that is not a definitive sign of m/c. I got good advice once. You ARE pregnnt as of right now. Enjoy it! be positive, when negative thoughts arise push them away, do some positive visualizations(your embryo firmly implantin to the uterine wall, creating a strong blood supply, becoming a fetus, etc. I did all this and truly felt I had more power over my outcome. The mind is an amazing thing.

If it helps you pass the time, then why not keep peeing on a stick? I never believed I was PG and kept peeing on a stick a few times per week. I loved the dollar tree tests!
