Maternity Belt- what's the hype
Ok so I have on my maternity belt- and although I do feel a little more support- just wondering what the deal is with it- i mean its just a stupid elastic band - I am wearing it like pictured on the package- but it's just not super comfy- especially when sitting.
Ok that's my thought on that

i thought the same thing when i saw the pics...i was bloated and my a$$&thighs grew right from the start so i didn't even bother and went straight to maternity pants.
eta - my comment applies to the bella band, i have no clue what you ladies are referring to...sorry!

Never used. Maybe its more a preventive help thing with preventing stretch marks (like lotion) than for actual support feeling??

I found it to really help with my lower back pain, but I started using it when I was much farther along in my pregnancy. I am 36 weeks now, and I always put it on when I am going to be out walking around a lot - the mall, supermarket, etc.
It is definitely not that comfy for sitting around, but it really helps take some of the pressure off my lower back. Maybe when your belly gets bigger you will notice more of a difference.

My OB didn't suggest it to me until just last week at 32 weeks. My weight gain is pretty much all belly...I'm measuring large at this point and it sticks way out and all in front. It's tremendous strain on my back and legs so she said the maternity belt would help. She said really to use it when I'm walking, which I do alot since I live/work in the city. So maybe it's not having that much of an effect since you're alot earlier along? I don't know, I can't say for sure cause I haven't actually tried it yet...it's still sitting on my dresser.

my mom got me one for christmas, but i am only 14 weeks so i don't need it yet, but i am hoping it will help when I am 8 months pregnant teaching in June!!!
