Hotel in NYC?

DH and I got tickets to see Phantom on Jan 23rd. I was thinking it would be nice for us to stay in the city. I have never stayed in the city before- so I don't really know of any places around Times Square to stay that won't break the bank.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!!

Whenever DH and I go to the city for an overnight trip, we book through Priceline and bid our own price per night. It is hit or miss, but we have never been disappointed! It is worth a shot if you want to save $$$.

Hotwire.com! If you go to www.betterbidding.com, you can figure out which hotel is which by the zone and amenities, so it's a little better than Priceline IMO since you can pretty much figure out which hotel it is before you pay. The Room Mate Grace hotel comes up on there, it's a boutique hotel for around $129. Small, but looks cool and you get free breakfast. It has good ratings on tripadvisor.

I was going to recommend priceline.
I just used it for a hotel in Philly and I'm happy wih what we got.

Try it. You can also go to www.biddingfortravel.com to learn how to use priceline with strategies.

Here are NYC hotel deals on travelzoo. I use them all the time for travel deals.

After you find a hotel check tripadvisor.com for actual hotel photos and traveler reviews. It has never steered me wrong. Have fun!

We stayed at Omni Berkshire Place and loved every minute. It is a great hotel. Very clean and they even have a free concierge service that will make reservations for you at any restaurant you want.
