Re: What kind of nightgown are you packing?
I bought a blue nightgown from Target and I had my sewing lady cut it down the middle and put snaps all the way down. It goes right above my knee. That way it will be easy for BFing. My MIL also bought me a really comfy gown for Xmas, thats a really soft material and it goes all the way down passed my knees, only problem is that it is cream colored and I'm afraid it will be ruined, if you know what I mean. I have blue slippers to match the blue gown and tan slippers to match the crem gown. I'm also debating on taking PJS. I'm also packing a coming home outfit for me. XOXOXO BOTB

Re: What kind of nightgown are you packing?
I bought a lot of them at JcPenny. They have buttons in the front. And for Christmas I got a awesome robe because the hospital is cold!! And I will be wearing my Ugg slippers
I will not be bringing any pant PJ's because after the c-section they have to wash you and change you a million times and it is just easier.

I have no idea.. but it seems to be the thing. They arent the easiest to find as it is seems either. Everything i do find looks like my grandmother should be wearing.

not the only option at all. i hate them and did not want to be visited in the hospital in a frumpy gown or pj's! i wore lounge clothes instead like a yoga sweatsuit. made me feel better and more put together. edited to add that yes, b/c i had a C i left the gown on for the first 24 hours (cause i had to!)

Re: What kind of nightgown are you packing?
I'm bringing dark colored yoga type pants in a bigger size and tank tops. I also am bringing a robe and probably a sweatshirt.

Not the only option but for me it was easier. And I wore my robe most of the time so no one even knew I was wearing a nightgown underneath.

I'm packing 2 nightgowns amongst other PJs, and lounge clothes for during the day. Right now it looks like a C for me, so after the 1st 24 hours, I do want to see if I can weat sweats and Ts during the day.

Re: What kind of nightgown are you packing?
I hate nightgowns, I didn't buy or pack any. I can't sleep in them, I know its crazy, but its one of my "things." I'll see what happens while I'm at the hospital, I can always ask my mom to pick one up if I find the pj's I packed just don't work.

Re: What kind of nightgown are you packing?
I would like to bring a comfy t-shirt and PJ pants, but since I am going to try to BF, I will buy some button down PJ sets and bring those with me. As for going home, sweats all the way!

Re: What kind of nightgown are you packing?
I bought 2 nightgowns from Sears that have buttons halfway down so it'll be easier for BFing. I'm leaving the tags on and holding onto the receipt just in case! I also plan on bringing a pair of PJ pants and a large t-shirt just in case the nightgown is not what I want to wear.
As for the ride home, a pair of elastic waist pants and a t-shirt.

Re: What kind of nightgown are you packing?
I just had a c-section, and I can tell you this: I packed a pair of pajamas that had a button-down top and an elastic waist. They stayed in my bag and didn't get touched.
I didn't find that the nurses were checking my incision more than 1-2 times a day, but that area will be a little sore and you won't want ANYTHING to touch that area. I stayed in the hospital gown the first day, the 2nd and 3rd days I got up and got dressed during the day, but still wore the hospital gown at night. I found it was the most comfortable option.
I drove myself crazy trying to find the perfect pjs for the hospital, and I wound up not even using them!

Re: What kind of nightgown are you packing?
I was sent to the hospital from my Dr's appointment so I didn't even have a bag packed. I wore two hospital gowns(so my azz didn't show) the first day or two and my DH brought me yoga pants and my MIL bought me some button down shirts for nursing. The nursesd were very impressed that I was dressed and most other new Mom';s I saw had their own nightgowns or wore hospital gowns
