Anyone else emotional at Christmas this year?
It must be the hormones, but i was really emotional this year. I always am to a degree, but this year even more so. It will probably sound corny, but hearing all the readings this year, just hit me a lot more this year.... you know the lines like "the Virgin conceived and bore a Son" or "And the angel said to them, "Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people; for to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a babe wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger." I mean I was like crying!!! One Mass I was singing in the choir and therefore, could not cry, but the one Mass that DH and I went to, I started bawling at "Joy to the World" DH literally had to tell the people behind us it was pregnancy hormones
I am offically a LOSER!

Re: Anyone else emotional at Christmas this year?
i was a mess at church this year, cried almost the whole time, although i always feel very emotional in church its kinda my weekly vent of emotions lol
but, for us, my dh and i never thought we'd be here, we were told we'd never have children of our own (i have a son from a previous marriage) i had gynocological cancer 2 years ago and at 29 years old they were trying to convince me to have a full hystorectomy.. it was the worst experience of my life, cause alot of issues for my dh and i, and we never thought we'd return to the way things were, like every other newlywed couple with big hopes and dreams for a family.. Jesus truly blessed us, and i thought for sure my water was gonna break at church lol..i just was so thankful while praying after receiving communion, that He has taken such good care of me, and of the baby during this time..
its truly beautiful when you really UNDERSTAND the holiday..in the last few years that ive been back to the church, it has changed my life completely..
thanks for posting :)
