I had this happen twice - just like that. I'm 12 weeks and there are moments where I am so sure that it's going to happen again - but thank God it hasn't. It's normal. Definately try to hydrate yourself.

i would keep an eye on it. try and eat some saltines or pastina and gingerale.. make sure you drink lots of water. if you keep vomiting like that i would make a trip tothe er because you could very rapidly become dehydrated.

Ok. I am going to be graphic here.

I had severe morning sickness-hyperemesis-from 3 days before I got my BFP until the literal day DS was born. I threw up violently approximately 10-12x day. I couldn't keep anything down in my early pregnancy and was given zofran after I lost 13lbs in 13 weeks and had ketones in my urine.

The zofran helped a bit, I could keep some food down, and even though I was still vomiting, it was probably only 4-5x day.

I only gained 3lbs my entire pregnancy. As soon as DS was born I felt better.

Honestly, if you are 11 weeks and this is just happening now, I would just guess that something didn't agree with you (chicken is a common pregnancy aversion) and made your belly upset rather than "severe MS"

Hope you feel betterChat Icon

I also had hyperemesis, I was lucky that it subsided for the most part for me.

I would vomit 10-15 times a day, VIOLENTLY, many times I would also get a bloody nose from vomiting so hard and would loose continence (pee and poop myself Chat Icon )

I was lucky that my midwives make house calls and they came to my house to administer IV fluids to try and avoid hospitalization. I did end up hospitalized once.

I couldn't take any anti-emetics like zofram because of a past history of allergic reaction to a similar medication.

I lost 14lbs in about 6 weeks. I am currently 32 weeks PG adn still down 9lbs from my pre-preg weight!

If you think you are getting dehydrated give you MD a call....... Pregnancy adn dehydration are not a great combo!

Feel better!!

its tiny tiny pasta... and if you just put a little butter or chicken broth with it its very soothing.. my mom used to make it for me when i was sick.

"There are few children in Italy who do not grow up eating Pastina, the classic tiny pasta stars that parents first serve as a child’s introduction to the delicious world of pasta. Here in America, parents choose Barilla Pastina for their young children because it is made from 100% highest quality durum wheat; is enriched with essential nutrients, such as thiamin, iron, riboflavin and niacin; and is easily digested."

Re: how severe is severe MS?....warning TMI

I didn't really eat...I took sips of gatorade to try and stay hydrated and had a popsicle maybe once or twice a day which is what the dr recommended.
when I started to feel a bit better I had dry toast, bananas and chicken broth. I eased back into regular food very slowly.

Do you normally have bad MS ? Or was this a fluke thing?
It could have just been something that didn't agree w/ you or upset your stomach ........try to take it easy today and not make yourself crazy over it -

If it continues, I'd call your MD and see what he/she suggests
