20 weeks and still not showing

I am halfway through my pregnancy and still don't show. I was thin prior to pregnancy and even to now no one can tell that I am pregnant unless I tell them. (even then I get a response of "Really, where is the baby?Chat Icon ) I have gained 15lbs but unfortunately it looks like I've just gained weight everywhere but the belly. Let me say that most people say that I should not complain about this. I have had no morning sickness, aversions, or cravings. My obgyn says everything is progressing well but I feel like I am missing out on enjoying a beautiful pregnant belly. Has anyone not shown this late in their pregnancy?

Re: 20 weeks and still not showing

I did not start to show until I was just about 20 weeks. Even then, people who didn't know I was pregnant were in that state of wondering if I was pregnant or had I just gained weight. It wasn't really until about 23 weeks, that it was very obvious to anyone that I was pregnant.

Re: 20 weeks and still not showing

You should be somewhat happy you arent showing that much. It will happen though.

I showed so much that towards teh end of my first pregnancy people looked at me like I was crazy for being out the house. They thought I was going to give birth right then and there.

It was quite annoying, to say the least. As long as the doc says the baby is fine I wouldnt worry.Chat Icon

Re: 20 weeks and still not showing

It took me a really long time to start to show-- even now, at 34.5 weeks-- I don't think I am showing that much.

I have not had one single stranger my entire pregnancy ask me when I am due-- so, while my friends and family may say, of course you look pregnant! A person who doesn't know me probably doesn't.

Take a look at my album, and you can see my pics. At first I was really upset about it-- but, now with 5 weeks to go-- I know I could be that much more uncomfortable if I was bigger. Some of the clothing I still wear isn't even maternity-- just a bigger size. AND, everyone says that my belly will be that much flatter after I delivery. Yes please!!

The hardest part for me, was still gaining all the normal amount of weight-- it's just not really in my belly. It's more all over.

I went through the same thing. I'm 26wks now and still barely showing, don't know how thats possible cause I've gained 26lbs. Think it went to my boobs butt and thighs though, lol. I really really hope I get a pregnant belly soon!

Enjoy it! You'll get a belly eventually. Enjoy the freedom of movement right now. I didn't really show until the 7th month or so with DS.

Be happy about it!Chat Icon

I was average weight before being pregnant but at 20 weeks I was absolutely showing- I wore shirts tighter around my belly so it was more pronounced though too...

Re: 20 weeks and still not showing

I am newly pregnant with my second baby and believe me be happy! With my first I started really showing around 6 months. At first it's exciting to have the big belly and then it becomes a pain in the butt!
