Forming playgroups?
I am sure this has been discussed before, but has anyone on here tried to hook up with others from the site to form playgroups with people from similar areas with kids of similar ages? I'd love to meet some other moms in nassau county with toddlers around 18 months - 2 years to get together once a week for an hour or two. My daughter is great, but she never gets a chance to socialize with others her age, and I haven't had any luck finding a mommy and me that will work for me. FM me if this sounds good to anyone! (The best days for me would be tuesday or thursday.)

Have you tried meeting other moms through group activities like music together for example? (musictogether.com) For me that was the best way to meet other moms.

I would love to form a playgroup with babies that are around 3-9 months, since Emily is only going on 5 months now. We are in the Levittown area but I work all week so it would have to be over the weekend.

I try and do a playgroup all the time if the opportunity presents itself. Not only is it great that Andrew can interact with other kids his age, but I also get some adult conversation which is great! We travel all over too, as long as we have good directions. Monday, Wedensdays and Thursdays are good for us!

My son is 2 1/2 and we would love a playgroup with similar ages. We just moved to suffolk county and do not know anyone! Anyone who is interested in the Commack/Northport/smithtown area let me know!!!!
