Shooting pains...

So yesterday was a nightmare, The BH contractions are killing me. All day long pain and then nothing. Now this morning, I have shooting pains in my Lower region (you know) and my abdomen is so tight. I also feel him on my bladder like mad. This is normal at this stage right? I will be 36 weeks on Xmas. Should I call, should I go to the hospital. Im so clueless and trying to make light of it all. HELP!

Re: Shooting pains...

I'm realizing it's going to be nerve wracking towards the end. I'm feeling all sorts of different things at 32 weeks.

I would say to call your doctor if you are unsure. That's what I am planning to do. Probably everything you are feeling is normal, but you are getting close to the end! Good luck!

Re: Shooting pains...

It could be the baby has dropped into the canal and putting pressure on everything...that is what happened with me.

Call the dr just to be sure, they might want to check you out.

Re: Shooting pains...

Is the pain mainly on the right or left side? I've been having these horrible pains too, I actually woke up crying the other day. I think they might be those round ligament pains but it hurts much worse because the ligament is probably so stretched out to this point so now its much more painful. I did call my Dr. about it the day I woke up crying, I explained everything to the answering machine and to my surprize the freakin bitc* never even called me back. So it must not be anything serious I'm assuming. I keep on getting them pretty much everyday now on my right side. If it gets worst I will call her again. If it gets any worst for you give thema call too.

Re: Shooting pains...

i have been getting these pains for 6 weeks

it is the baby pressing on your cervix and possibly a nerve

round ligament pains are in your pelvis or where leg meets hip area
if it is a shooting pain INSIDE your va-jay-jay it is not round ligament pain

It has lightened up Thank God. I go Tuesday for my internal. I hoping for good news. As I am more than ready to get him out NOW!

But the pain, to be perfectly disgusting (SORRY) was like I ran and jumped on a screwdriver. Not pleasant. And it was totally random, just sitting here and boom. I can deal with the B, but that pain was freaking awful.

Re: Shooting pains...

I am not really sure-- but I have found at this stage of the game, there are new feelings and bouts of discomfort.

I would say that anything that continues to persist, or if you are in a lot of pain or discomfort, you should call or go get checked out.
