may baby shower...
ok..my parents own a hero shop in suffolk county and do catering...but i dont want them cooking for my shower...
i also dont really want it to be catered...
would having my BIL BBQ be tacky...I love hot dogs..hamburgers..salads..etc...

Definitly not tacky, i think its perfect especially for that time of year. Im having my family cook everything.

IMO I don't think it would be tacky at all! May is perfect for BBQ's and who doesn't love macaroni salad and potato salad and deviled eggs?! Oh man I just made myself hungry! Can I come to your shower?!

The baby shower is a celebration for you so it should be what you want. I think a BBQ would be great in May.

one thing though - i didn't think hot dogs were okay to eat....(they are made with nitrates)..

hahaha...ur more then welcome to come!! Im drooling right now too.
My BIL said he would cook and then leave...lol...he doesnt want to be around all those women for too long.
I just hope my DH's family doesnt find it tacky. I know my family will be cool with it...his family is a bit more stuck up. Not his mother but his fathers side. (parents are divorced)

You can get Nitrate free hotdogs. Certain supermarkets sell them.

i have tried to find some - but haven't been able to just yet.
I did have two hot dogs at a basketball game about a month ago. Until they were LONG gone - i had totally forgotten about it....then i freaked. The doc said it was okay ONCE in a great while...

I'm sure it will be a hit, no one wants to eat hot foods when it's warm outside! Besides, if they don't like it then they can leave their gift and go home!  No I'm j/k I'm sure they'll all enjoy themselves!!

It would probably be early May...unless we move back to NY sooner..then im not sure. I am not sure if Zarra wants a surprise or not so Im not sure.
