ummm..what the heck TMI
so like i said this is going to have TMI but I need to know what to do?!?!?! My butt hole...for lack of better words...maybe anus is a better word but whatever...has been hurting for a few days, and today when i had a bowel movement, which let me tell you was like passing a brick through a pin hole, i wiped and there was blood on my TP. soooo...i decided to inspect...I got out my trusty mirror and looked, and OMG I have a giant friggin HEMRROID...(Sp) Ive never had one but I am guessing this is what it is since it likes like a balloon, half deflated...What can I do, will it go away?!? any advice? sorry for the graphics....

Well, honestly the only things you can do are:
1.. use cream to make it feel better 2. Eat a lot of fiber rich foods so the stool softens and comes out easier so you dont have to strain 3. take a stool softener NOT a laxative

I've never had one yet (only 8.5 weeks here) but my husband actually had a hemorroid and it definitely did go away! It just takes a little time. He started drinking prune juice (don't laugh, it seriously worked! ha) and using prep h. It went away in a few weeks.

It will go away. Sometimes it takes a week or two, but it WILL go away.
Its possible that what your MIL was saying is that once you start to get hemerroids, you're likely to continue getting them throughout your lifetime. But the same one wont stay there forever...I promise.

Re: ummm..what the heck TMI
They definitely do go away. I had a bunch after delivering my first child and they went away.
I recommend getting a sitz bath at the pharmacy. It rests right inside your toilet seat...you put warm water in it and sit in it for 5-10 minutes 3x a day. It takes down the swelling and will help it go away. You can use it after delivering your baby too. It helps take down all the swelling down there and will ease some discomfort. My other recommendation is either Prep H wipes or witch hazel wipes. They will help you to keep the area clean (I used them after a bowel movement) and will medicate the area as well. I found toilet paper to be too rough.
