what do u think

dh n i cant keep it a secret any longer i am 4 weeks n 3or 4 days, will it be bad to tell paretns n siblings at 5 weeks that we are preggo n tell them we do not want anyone to know till my first sono which is at 8 weeks? or u think we should keep it a secret till 8 weeks.

please let me know this is sooo hard.

i know its hard....its really a personal decision.
If you were to tell these people if god forbid something went wrong, then i dont see why not, tell them now.

u see dh and i were saying knock of wood something were to go wrong of course we would tell them we would need thecomfort, im just scared they will tell outsiders n then how do u explain that.

DH AND I WERE AFRAID OF THE SAME THING... I DO HAVE TO SAY ALTHOUGH IT WAS A PERSONAL DECISION AND ONLY YOU CAN DECIDE I WILL LET YOU KNOW WE DECIDED TO TELL PARENTS EARLY @ 5 1/2 WEEKS - AND ONLY BECAUSE IF SOMETHING DID GO WRONG WE WOULD NEED SUPPORT DURING THAT TIME... I DID TELL A FEW FRIENDS BUT ONLY 2 AND THAT WAS BECAUSE I HAD ALOT OF QUESTIONS....

WE TOLD PARENTS NOT TO TELL ANYONE TILL AFTER 14-WEEKS AND THEY ALL KEPT OUR LITTLE SECRET....

That's totally a personal decision. The only people I told that early on were the parents & my best friend. My mom & my best friend were excellent when I had my m/c & I knew I'd need to lean on them should it happen again so I told them right away. Everyone else waited until after we heard the heartbeat on the doppler at 10 weeks.

We told my parents and family VERY early (actually the day of my missed period) and luckily everything worked out! There was NO WAY we'd be able to keep it a secret!

I would hold off until at least 8 weeks to tell parents or close relatives, then after 12 weeks you can tell the friends and coworkers...

I told a close relative and she hinted to someone else and b4 you know it everyone was calling me about it! :P

Wait until you hear the heartbeat at least...

I am almost 9 weeks and I have only told my sister (who would have figured it out as soon as I refused a glass of wine!) and my in-laws (as we live abroad and my husband didn't want to have to tell them over the phone). I will be 10 weeks at Christmas and I am telling my family and best friend then. Everyone else I'm waiting until I'm officially in the 2nd trimester. I did want to wait until I had my first OB/GYN appointment but that isn't going to be until Feb so I am not waiting that long!

It really is your own decision. If you want to tell your parents and immediate family go ahead just ask them to honor your wishes about not telling anyone else until you're ready to.

I am 4 weeks and 6 days ( i think) and We haven't toald anyone except for my sister...I tell her EVERYTHING. I have my appointment tomorrow with my DR to go over my blood results and if all goes well we are telling my our families at christmas, I will probably hold everyone else off until 8-10 weeks
