This is what Dr. Google told me:
METHYLPREDNISOLONE (Medrol)
This steroid hormone is taken when the Assisted-Hatch procedure is being done, in conjunction with the Embryo Transfer. It is taken to suppress any inflammatory reaction that might occur between the embryo(s) and the endometrial lining.

Yeah. I think my RE said they often do AH with 3-day transfers...

Yeah. I think my RE said they often do AH with 3-day transfers...
Really....I thought that was only if you were over 40 or something...or if you have had prior failures.

I have an embryology lab requisition form that states:
Embryo Transfer: All patients with greater than or equal to 4 embryos with greater than or equal to 8 cells grade 0/1 will have Day 5 or 6 transfer; All others will have Day 3 transfter with Assisted Hatching unless other orders.

I have been on that steroid to surpress my N/K cells I am almost 13wks.... they are just weaning me off it now...

What are N/K cells?
Natural Killer cells... My body has an autoimmune issue where it recognizes the embryo/fetus as an enemy and attackes it..
