Jetlag remedies??
Hi everyone:
So we've recently returned from our honeymoon to Thailand (yes I'm married...AHHH! So happy!), and the jetlag is the worst either of us has ever experienced. Going there we were fine, but we've been home for a few days now and the insomnia and sleeping at odd hours is torture! Anyone have any "home remedies"? We're trying to sleep only at our normal times, but fnd ourselves wide awake every morning at 4am, no matter what time we went to bed. I'm at work right now ready to fall over and my heart is racing b/c I'm soooo tired and just out of it. Any ideas??
THANKS!!

Re: Jetlag remedies??
Just try to stay up as late as you can every night. Sleeping pills work too. It will be a few days but it will get better. The day/night shift is a b itch. So how was Thailand?! Did you get caught up in that mess at the Bangkok airport?

Re: Jetlag remedies??
I have had that many times travelling to and fro to Australia. I can tell you it takes a week and half. I used to wake up at 5 AM and I would get up for a bit, do some stuff and then go back to bed. It gets better I swear, you just have to wade it out.
My only cure was to have a glass of wine or something else to make me sleep.
Good luck!

It takes me a good two weeks to adjust when I get back from Asia.
as PPs said, try to stay up as late as possible, it's so hard, I know.. but it's the only way!

Thanks all! Glad to know I'm not losing my mind and this is a REAL feeling. Thailand was AWESOME!! We did get stuck there a few extra days b/c of the protests, but at that point we were in a gorgeous seaside villa in Phuket and not too upset! lol. We ended up getting rerouted home through Hong Kong (spent a night there) as to avoid going back to Bangkok. All in all it was the most amazing trip of our lives! We went to Bangkok for 3 nights, Patong Beach (Phuket) for 4 nights, Mai Khao beach (north Phuket) for 6 nights, then one night in Hong Kong. Elephant trekking, boat day trips to various islands, shorkeling, feeding wildlife, sightseeing, EATING, shopping...OMG it was incredible!! Thanks for your earlier suggestions before we left! This was definitely a honeymoon to remember!
Oh yeah...and our destination wedding in Florida was pretty awesome too! haha. Can't forget about that!

Stay awake until you can not stand it anymore.
We just got back from China a month ago it took about a week to get back on scheduale
The first night we both woke up at 3:00 in the morning and cooked breakfast we were starving.
