are there people here who do not take...

Prenatal vitamins. My friend(who is 4 days late) told me that she doesn't believe in taking them . She is on the third child now and didn't take them for any of them. She said that her doctor called her and told her her blood work was perfect and to keep up whatever she was doing. funny bc she not taking anything. i was shocked to tell u the truth.

I really dont take them , they make me so sick, when i was in L&D the other day they asked me and I said to be honest ocassionally and the dr. said dont worry about it no biggie.....all 5 of my kids are healthy thank god! If your baby needs something they feed off your body for example if your baby needs calceium and you are not taking in enough they will take from your bones , teeth etc...so as long as you eat healthy , my doc said its not that big of a deal

I guess if you really think about it, women have been having babies for years...before prenatals were ever even made...and produced healthy babies. I however take them b/c of all the positive benefits and wouldn't think otherwise..

I took them with Joseph the entire time. With Maddie, I was sick more so I skipped them. The smell would make me sick & swallowing them made me gag. I decided I was much better keeping food down than taking vitamins to supplement the food I was tossing up.

And I don't actually take a prenatal, I take Flinstones vitamins. My doctor seemed completely unconcerned. She was just happy I was actually taking any vitamin. I would be willing to bet more women don't take them than you think.

I cannot take them. Even the iro free ones have atrace fo Iron and my body doesnt metabolize iron, I get enough from the food I eat, too much even.

I supplement with folic acid, some B vitamins, an E and C.

I've been taking vitamins for as long as I can remember so taking a Prenatal for 9 months doesn't faze me. I also take an extra Calcium tablet and Vitamin C too. I guess I feel as if I have insurance

I also normally took a vitamin every morning. I like the comfort in knowing I'm getting the right amount of what my little baby needs.

I usually take them 4 days out of the week and my doctor seemed ok with, I guess because I took some. I cant remember to take them for the life of me no matter where I put them.

I think its a chace not worth taking. I would never not take prenatals.

In the beginning they made me so sick, then in the middle I took them all the time, but honestly towards the end it was very sporadic. I just always forgot to take them. Emily did have some breathing problems when she was born but I don't know if it was from that necessarily.

I took very few with either child. They made me ill. I took them sporatically buy I tried to eat better and made sure I got my folic acid.

I couldn't stomach them either so I didn't take them. I did take folic acid suppliments. My little girl is very healthy.

I did take them, but only took OTC ones I got at CVS (their own brand). My doc said that as long as I continued to eat healthy, which I try to do, he wasn't concerned and thought that the vitamins are not "essential", but help.

They make me so sick, so I rarely take them. My doc said not to worry about it.

My doc said that women had babies long before there were pre natal vitamins.

My prenatals made me very sick so my doctor told me to take 2 flintstones vitamins instead and I have done that throughout this pregnancy.
