I did as I am trying to avoid amniocentesis. My results to this were good and then at 16 weeks had my blood tested and those results were also very good. So these two gave me the peace of mind not to do the amnio.

Not everyone, but I'd say judging by responses on this board, most do. Just for peace of mind I suppose. For me it was just a scheduled screening, I wasn't really given a "choice" in the matter, though I guess I could have said no...I wouldn't have but I could have.
