when you have real contractions, TRUST ME, you'll know 
they start off mildly annoying and graduate to hideously painful and dreadful within hours

yep, in fact, I couldnt even tell you if my belly was hard during the real contractions b/c I was too distracted by the pain!

When I was admitted to L&D last week, I was apparently having a decent amount of contractions. I didn't feel them at all. Today was the first time I really started feeling contractions. My belly got very tight and it was somewhat uncomfortable. I'm sure this is nothing compared to the contractions during active labor.
