I assume that when you receive a negative beta from IVF, you stop the progesterone and wait for AF. Then what? At what point do you call? Are there injections again? Is there the same amount of monitoring?

Re: Anyone do a FET at NSUH?

Wow, this is my first post ever-I couldnt resist. I just did an FET an NSUH. I had a chemical pregnancy with my first IVF. When my beat started declining I stopped the PIO shots. My beta returned to zero within a few days but we had to wait the one month and then started the following month. I would have started right away of they had let me. I was on estrace twice a day and was in for monitoring about 4 times during the two weeks before the transfer-mostly the week before. A few days before the transfer I started the PIO shots (medrol/doxy) and I am continuing the shots until my Beta in early December and then hopefully for 8 weeks if I am pregnant.

I am so sorry that happened to you! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thanks for your reply. So you start the estrace as soon as you get your period then? Get monitored a few times and then have the transfer?

Re: Anyone do a FET at NSUH?

I started the estrace on CD3 if I remember correctly. I went in on day 3 for a sono and bloodwork and they called me that evening to tell me to start the meds. And then no other meds until a few days before the transfer. Unlike me, be sure you have the estrace well before the day you are supposed to start. And I didnt have any side effects from the estrace. All in all much easier than a fresh cycle.

Thanks this is great info. How long do you take the estrace for? This sounds much easier than a fresh cycle that's for sure.
