Anyone have only one tube?
I have one blocked tube and I was wondering what others experiences have been, if you have/are doing IUI or IVF. Thanks so much!

Re: Anyone have only one tube?
I lost my tube last year around Jan. I found out that i had a hydro tube and they went in to take the left out and found a mess of endo. My right tube was just ok...so long story short, i was also diagnosed with PCOS..and not feeling too good. Well, we did clomid IUI and the second didnt take so we went on and did a third one and we are waiting on our overdue baby girl to come! It is very possible to get pregnant and get this, my grandma got pregnant with one tube, my dads gfriend had 4 babies with one tube(including twins!) and i did with a horrible looking endo infested right tube so dont give up. As long as one is there, many ppl i know get preggo. And even more interesting, with Clomid, i saw my right tube ovulating every month...so i had a chance each month!

Re: Anyone have only one tube?
I lost a tube in June. I do think it has effected my fertility...I am on month 5 of trying right now. In previous pregnancies I got pregnant the first or second time. I have been told PLENTY of stories though about women who only have one tube that get pregnant easily....so I think it really depends on the person.

Re: Anyone have only one tube?
I have one hydro on my left side. They were going to try to remove it but had too many adhesions.
If tubal issue is your only issue, success rate via IVF are great. I had multiple issues: hydro, pcos, fibroids, thyroid issues and I am 32 weeks pregnant. Don't give up hope! Good Luck!

Re: Anyone have only one tube?
I lost my left tube to an ectopic pregnancy last year. I have been doing IUIs and am now moving onto IVF.
You can get pregnant from either ovary as the remaining tube can pull the egg over to the other side.
My grandmother had my aunt after she lost her tube and I have a friend who lost a tube and is now pg with twins (IVF).

Re: Anyone have only one tube?
My HSG revealed that I have a unicornuate uterus, meaning 1/2 a uterus, one fallopian tube and two ovaries. Yes, a bit unusual. Anyway, we had three unsuccessful iui's, one unsuccessful ivf cycle and now we are in the middle of a FET. I have encountered many women with the same problem who have gone on to have successful pregnancies-keep hope alive!
