It was a lot, mostly in the beginning. I don't trust myself to remember enough to do a list, but I can tell you this--you've already been through the hard part.

Re: Ok prepare me........
hey sweety - i actually typed this out recently - so here ya go!
Sequential Screen provides early answers for women with the highest chances of having a baby with Down syndrome and trisomy 18.
Sequential Screen is a two - part test that provides with with two answers: 1. an early, preliminary result 2. a final, more complete result.
Sequential Screen detects approxomiately: part 1 - 70% of babies with down syndrome part 1 - 80% of babies with trisomy 18
part 2 - 90% of babies with down syndrome part 2 - 90% of babies with trisomy 18 part 2 - 80% of babies with open neural tube defects.
She also gave me paperwork on what to expect and when...
with my 6 vials of blood - they're testing for: 1. complete blood count 2. rpr (test for syphilis) 3. blood type 4. rh type 5. an antibody screen 6. rubella screen 7. a hepatitis b screen 8. varicella (chicken pox) 9. HIV testing (in NJ - they have to do this TWICE) 10. Gonorrhea/Chlamydia screening 11. FOR ME ONLY - Fragile X - because my mom's brother has a 'mentally handicapped child'.
12 weeks: 1. part 1 of sequential screen 2. Ultrasound and doctor visit
16 weeks: 1. thyroid testing 2. 2nd sequential screen 3. 1 hour early glucose tolerance test (i meet the high risk criteria, because my mom has diabetes, my dad is borderline and my mom's brother has it too).
20 weeks: 1. Ultrasound to check anatomy (and find out sex if we WANT to)...
26-28 weeks: 1. if i failed the 1 hour glucose test, i have to do the 3 hour now. 2. complete blood count 3. antibody screen (if RH negative) 4. Rhogam injection (if RH negative)
36 weeks: 1. if i failed the 3 hour glucose - have to do it AGAIN (fun huh?) 2. Group B Strep culture

i believe so - yes!!! The glucose one is something you have to drink and then they take blood...
It's overwhelming yes, but they test for EVERYTHING they can...kinda makes me feel well protected in case anything comes up - ya know??

Re: Ok prepare me........
I think the above poster covered everything! Depending on your pregnancy though, you may have other tests.
I recently had symptoms of preeclampsia so had to do a 24 hour urine and blood work for that. I am fine though and don't have it.
I also recently had a rash on my stomach so needed to be tested for that. It's gone away though thank goodness!
I've also been hooked up to the blood pressure machine several times which is annoying.
I used to be terrified of giving blood but since being preggers, have gotten over that pretty darn quickly. I can't look still but it's not that bad!
