Wine of the month
Not sure where to post this, but does anyone know a website/place that would do a "wine of the Month" sort of thing. Iw as thinking of doing this as a gift for my Sister and her hubby for Xmas since they are big wine lovers!

Do they live in New York state? I don't think you can have wine shipped here. We tried to do a wine basket last year and couldn't because of shipping rules.

We got a gift of "wine of the month" for our wedding. We received a bottle of red and a bottle of white every month for a year. Unfortunately, that was 3 years ago and I have no idea where they ordered it from. It was one of our favorite gifts. Each month after the wedding, we had a "date night" on the 30th of each month (we were married on October 30) where we would cook dinner together and enjoy the wine.

Try BHG.com. I saw something along those lines in one of their magazines awhile back. Most likely you will find something in their website.

I'm not positive, but I believe this rule very recently changed in NY. The eastern LI wineries were really pushing for it.

YOu can have wine shipped to NY. I got a gift membership to wineinsiders.com for my husband over the summer.

WOW! I would Loooooove something like that. That's so cute you guys celebrated at the end of the month every month!

we get wine sent from Sequoia Grove in Napa.
We always loved the wine and went to visit in August. We signed up for a 5 shipment a year plan. They send two bottles 5 times a year and all of their diffferent wines. Very nice.
How much are you willing to spend?
When you do this they give you a 20% discount off the retail and invite you to tastings, dinners and special events. Some are local.

i posted this website on LIW just yesterday :)
when we got engaged - I got Dave the Beer of the Month Club - but every OTHER month (i'm no dummy)... They also do wine, cigars, fruit, cheese i think....
he LOVES it and the company is great to work with. We had a problem one time and they went above and beyond to fix it!!
