Fashion Confession

Confession:I'm worse than Britney with the brown boots. Chat Icon

They don't look like hers, but I have worn mine every day since the first week of September, except for the 1 day I had to go to a wedding. Brown, black, blue, pants, jeans, skirts, dresses--doesn't matter.

They are from last year & they so beat, the heels are worn down at a 45 degree angle!

I finally dropped them off at a shoe repair place & was waiting to give my name or something, and the shoemaker just shouted out me over the noise of the shoe fixing machines :
"Leave them. Come 5 O'clock."

But I had to work until 7:15, over an hour after the shoe man goes home. Chat Icon

I may never see my brown Britney boots again.Chat Icon I am hoping it is like Cinderella at the ball, and I just have to fit into them to claim my kingdom of bad fashion.

My feet ache for them . Literally!

Three is alot, evenif they all look alike. I really have just the 1. My only other winter shoes are 1 pair of flats & sneakers that both hurt my feet.
And snow boots. I was really hoping for snow today, just to have something to wear.

Miraculously, the shoes were there & repaired. It was a different guy, and he was just as confused as I was that I didn't get a ticket & wasn't quoted a price. He charged me $10, which I guess is fair.

Now I can go back to my Britney status of wearing my one pair of brown boots untill they fall apart again! Chat Icon

They were pretty bad. He was really busy, too. He was taking money from people picking up shoes & fixing shoes at the same time.

I've never had shoes fixed before. I don't know how long it usually takes. I remember going to have shoes dyed on LI, as a teenager & it was dead. My mom say she felt bad for the shoemaker, b/c she didn't think people and their shoes fixed anymore.

Apparently they do well in the city though--all that walking! And some people probably have expensive shoes they want to take care of. His is open form 7am to 6pm, so they must get a lot of customers. They do shoe shines too.

No, I remember going as a kid, with my mom, but I guess I've never had shoes I liked enough to save. And some shoes just fell apart, compelty, and couldn't really be saved. Also my feet got bigger, so most of my shoes aren't that old.
