Britax Roundabout or Marathon?
I had originally registered for the Marathon, thinking that I could use it until the baby is 3 or 4, but a friend of mine told me that her daughter outgrew it last week and she is only 2 1/2! The Marathon is obviously more expensive than the Roundabout, so is it is worth it if the child may outgrow it pretty early and you will need the booster car seat? Any experience or input would be great! TIA!

We have the Roundabout and love it. The Marathon is so much bigger but not really that much height-wise. I glad we went with the Roundabout.

Re: Britax Roundabout or Marathon?
I'm a fan of the Marathon (have used one with each of my boys). I don't know many 2.5 year olds that are over the 60 lb. weight limit and my DS1 is pretty tall but still would have fit the height requirements if I hadn't switched him to a booster at five years old.

Re: Britax Roundabout or Marathon?
Our son is on the bigger size and I am glad I did not get the roudabout. We have the Decathlon (same as Marathon but with NB padding) and it's bigger than the roundabout. He would outgrow the roudabout too fast. I did not want to keep buying carseats.

We have the Marathon, I liked that he would be able to use it until he was ready for a booster.

Re: Britax Roundabout or Marathon?
We have the Round-a-Bout and I loved it until recently - LOL....Not that I don't love it, but my DS turned 3 last month and is already at the 40 lb. weight limit and now we are looking for yet another car-seat ...Kinda wishing we had gone with the bigger one from the beginning now, since our Round-a Bout was costly...

Re: Britax Roundabout or Marathon?
It wasn't the weight issue, but the height issue that she had. Her daughter is very tall.

Re: Britax Roundabout or Marathon?
DS is on the taller side. The Britax Marathon, Decathlon, etc... they are VERY tall. If she is outgrowing those seats, there is not much more on the market for her.

Re: Britax Roundabout or Marathon?
we've been very happy with the roundabout... although ds is pretty small, so i'm not too worried about him getting too big for it.
at this rate he'll be 60lbs in 3rd grade
