I use arm & hammer no fragrance. My husband has really sensitive skin and its the only detergent he can tolerate.

Anything free and clear is fine.

But honestly, you can use regular detergent b/c chances are the baby's face and skin will be up against your clothes anyway!

We do use All Free and Clear, but b/c my dog is allergic to detergentChat Icon

Honestly I bought dreft in the beginning - but our ped said there was no need and so we switched to Tide free and clear. Also we got an HE washer so we needed to get something that was HE - they also make an All free and clear.

Re: Baby detergent?

We now use Seventh Generation free & clear, but we have used All free & Clear and Tide Free & Clear. I am very sensitive and so is DS.

BTW, we both had reactions to Ivory Snow!Chat Icon

Re: Baby detergent?

We never got special detergent. We used the normal stuff the first time, and they didn't have a reaction, so we've been using whatever DW finds on sale for the last 5.5 years. As long as they don't have a negative reaction to the detergent, you can save a lot of $$ by using what the same as you use for your clothes.

Of course, if DC has a reaction, then you need to switch to something more gentle....

Re: Baby detergent?

bad mom here, I admit. I use Tide. I think I washed her clothes once separately in Deft. I use Tide.

I will lower my head in shame now. I hope she doesnt need a support group later in life.

For those of you using separate detergent, keep it up!

I bought All Free and Clear although my mom has all of the baby's clothes and bedding right now. She's washing them in Dreft.
