Why isn't my hair taking the color?
I get my hair colored to cover the grays. I've been going to the same girl for YEARS and recently my hair just doesn't take the darker color. I mean it looks great for the first couple of days and then here come the grays.
It's permanent dye...is my hair stylist doing something wrong?

im not sure but i would call her and let her know. maybe there is a different formula/chemical/something she can add for stubborn grays. also - if you only got it done a few days ago i would expect that she could do something to cover those grays up again.

I think its from the pregnancy, my hair didn't take good to the highlights at all when I was preggo and even for a couple of months after, I also lost A LOT of hair this time, got to bald spots in the front, that are growing in now thankgod--lol
They say your hair starts to do better after 6 months, and it needs a year to get back to how it was.

I was going to suggest that maybe its due to your pregnancy too and your hormone levels. I would definitely mention it to your colorist though.

try an at home kit yourself. That is what I did and it seems to last alittle longer then the salon I go too!! I have the same problem.

its important to be using the proper shampoo's too. do you use one for colored hair?
