Glucose test question?
My doctor doesn't do it in her office so she told me to go to a lab like quest.
Do I just call them and make an appt? Do they give me the stuff to drink?
I always forget to ask all the important questions when I'm actually at the doctor's office

I went on Tuesday and did at a Lab... I just walked in with the paperwork... they gave me the orange drink- I drank- sat the hour- and did the bloodtest...
No appt needed

The lab I went to did not need any appt, but I would call ahead just to be sure.
They do give you the stuff to drink, also my Dr told me to bring a protien snack for AFTER the test, I was not allowed to leave the office until I ate my snack

Lab corp requires an appointment. You can just call your lab and they will tell you. When I called Lab Corp it said on machine.. glucose test and drug screenings require appointment.
Yes they give you the drink there.

The Lab Corp that I went to didn't require an appt. I just walked in with my paperwork. I had asked about it a few weeks before when I took my DD for bloodwork and they didn't mention anything about needing an appt.

you walk in, they give you the drink, then you have to sit for an hour then they take blood.
that is all there is too it!

The only glucose test you need an appointment for at Quest is the 3 hour test.
For the one hour test, you can just do a walk in.
