What would you do

Gianna has been sick since last Wed, I took her to the Dr and she said she had Bronchiolitis and gave me antibiotics and I also had to give her the nebulizer...Saturday she was pretty much fine eating and drinking more and playing than she wakes up Sunday with a fever and has had a fever ever since the fever ranges from 102-105 degrees...I took her to the Dr yesterday and she said she "thinks" she has the flu and the bronchiolitis is gone. How long should I wait if she is not getting better to call the Dr? How high should the fever be before I call the Dr again? She has been eating and drinking on and off and she goes from playng to being lathargic. Last night her fever was 105 which got me REALLY scared. Any adviceChat Icon

First off, Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon to your little angel. Second, once a fever reaches 102 you should call the Dr. Although babies and children tend to get higher fevers than adults, 102 and higher the dr should be called.

Hopefully she doesnt have the flu.

Hope she gets better quickly Chat Icon

Re: What would you do

I just went through this in the past few weeks with Andrew. He had bronchiolitis and was on Amoxicilin and Albuterol (diagnosed 2/7). Last Thursday he was sent home from day care with a 102.4 fever. They said there was a bug going around. I waited a few days and finally took him back to the doctor and they gave him a different, stronger antibiotic for what they are calling a secondary bacterial infection.

I would call the Dr. and/or bring her back if her fever continues.

If you are concerned you call the doctor! If the fact that this fever has been around a couple of days is bothering you- CALL that's what they get paid for.
