Starting to start...
Ok- went to Melville this morning and just got the call that I didn't ovulate on my own (wasn't expecting to) so I can start provera. My nurse had told me I'd be on provera for 5 days.... but my dr. told this nurse that I should go on it for 10 days. I HATE provera, more than ANY other medication I've taken (with the exception of BCPs- they made me feel nutty)... BUT this will buy me an extra 5 days to get my DH's insurance going!!
My original plan was to just hold off on starting the provera for a few days so that by the time AF showed my DH would be employed and we'd be under their insurance (effective day 1) and we'd have the option of using the benefits rather than paying out of pocket... though we hadn't fully decided one way or the other- but that's where i'm leaning right now. Do you think I should call my nurse or just take it for 10 days? It seems to my benefit to take it for 10 in this case, right? And I should listen to the dr over the nurse anyway, right?

Oh wow!!! good for you. I would take it for 10 days. Is that normal? Have you ever had to take it for 10 days before?
