Hello everyone! I'm a new poster- but have been lurking for a little bit. I just got my BFP on friday!! So i'm only 2 weeks along. I don't even know where to start! I'm sure i'll be asking lots of questions, but just wanted to say hello to everyone!!

One thing I just learned....if you got your BFP friday you are actually 4 weeks, you start counting from your LMP!!!

thanks! Would i still be considered 4 weeks if i only just ovulated 2 weeks ago? I assumed it goes from that date?

congrats!!!  its overwhelming when you first find out but it really gets better..then time starts flying and you look back like i do now and say where did 18 wks go?!?....are you goig to find out the sex?

thank you! I think we will find out what we're having. I always told myself i wouldn't want to, but now that its real- it's a different story
I just really want to tell my mom- but DH is so against telling anyone now- he's nervous something bad will happen

i got my BFP last tuesday....i'm gonna see my doc on tuesday.....

For those that are confused, they determine how far along you are from the first day of your last period, not from when you think you ovulated.
For instance, my last period was on September 3rd, so I am now almost 9.5 weeks now from that date. It's not an exact science but that's the way they calculate it. Hope that makes sense.
And CONGRATS to the OP!
ETA: I'm an idiot. Fixed the explanation so that it's actually correct. lol

OMG I'm an idiot, I'm sorry. I just realized I wrote last missed period. That's incorrect.
It's the first day of your LAST period. LOL
Sorry, if I confused you even more.

Congrats! A friend recommended babycenter.com to me, and it's a wonderful resource. If you put in the first day of your last period, the site tells you the # of weeks you are, an estimated delivery date, and they send you weekly updates on your baby! It's so much fun. DH and I both get the updates, and it tells you when the baby is the size of a blueberry, when it grows eyes, etc. It also has articles on morning sickness, other symptoms, etc.
