OMG. Listen to what I did.
So I started my stims last night. Did my 10 units Lupron, 150 units Gonal-f. Fine. DH says to me, ok hand me the low dose HCG. Oops.
OMG  I FORGOT TO GET IT FILLED! For those of you who do not know, this is a medication that you need to fill that day because it has to be specially mixed.
Now this is 7pm last night. The pharmacy is closed. My RE is closed. So I start to panic. I can't even use the one from last cycle bc they expire even tho I still had it in the fridge for some reason. I call the RE and have the nurse on call paged. I call my pharmacy that I use through the RE and page their emergency service.
10 minutes later, the pharmacist calls us back and says she will meet us at the pharmacy!!! She actually went back to the pharmacy and opened up for us so she could fill the Rx. I was so relieved. The nurse from my RE called and I told her we were on our way and she said - we could have delayed it one day but it's really better to start tonight!
I was SO relieved that they actually opened up for us...luckily we live close by. I felt like an idiot - the pharmacy is around the corner from my office! And the RE called to remind me today!!!
Anyway...whew...close call!

Wow- you were really lucky! I don't know many pharmacists that would do that--- mine sure wouldn't. I'm lucky to get him to fill my pills AND run my insurance!  He's always out smoking a cigarette every time I go there I feel like...

Wow that is crazy!!!! You are so lucky! Was this a chain or a mom-and-pop pharmacy just curious? I am pretty sure the Rite Aid pharmacists where I live would not care if I dropped dead right in front of them!

No, it's an individually owned pharmacy that specializes in IF medications....they are amazing! I'm going to send her a thank you note.
PS - she said with the HCG it happens all the time...I'm not the first one to forget

Well since they specialize in IF meds, they obviously understand what it's like! Glad everything worked out for you.
