Darn Cramping
HOLY CRAMPING!! All night last night, i swear it's only really bad at night when I wake up from a deep sleep feeling like I'm being stabbed. I know you girls say it's normal but I am still totally freaking out. I can't wait for my first Dr. appt.

Re: Darn Cramping
if it's really that bad, I would call your doctor - you shouldn't be doubled over in pain.

Re: Darn Cramping
Should it be more like AF cramps, or worse/better?

Re: Darn Cramping
i think of it this way - is it bad enough where you feel the need to take something? if it is - then maybe you should call the doc.
mine are almost always there, but on a 1-10 scale, they never get over a 5. Maybe once a day - i get a spike of like an 8...but never more.

Re: Darn Cramping
I had one night in particular where I really thought something was wrong the pain was so bad. But it was very early on and only happened that one night. The rest of the time it was AF like cramping. It does get better though....then all the other stuff starts hurting

Re: Darn Cramping
My carmping was never like AF cramping. My AF cramping was dull and diffuse all over my abdomen.
Pregnancy cramping for me was stronger and I felt things pulling and stretching with occasional "lightning bolt" jabs of pain everywhere.......
I wouldn't really worry about it unless you are in so much pain that it causes you to be doubled over, it is primarily on one side, you are vomiting and have a fever which would be an indicator of an ectopic or infection.
People think that when they get PG that they don't have to worry about AF, cramping and bleeding! BOY ARE They WRONG.
Since I got PG I am CONSTANTLY uncomfortable in my abdominal region and it gets worse as you go along.

Re: Darn Cramping
I had very bad AF-like cramps on and off during the frist trimester. I also had a lot of side pain. Everything is stretching. As long as you're not bleeding, it's normal. You can always call your doctor for peace of mind.
