going back to RE and repeating tests?
so it looks like I will be going back to RE to try for #2. i saw Dr Brenner for my daughter. question is- will he repeat all the testing, including HSG and a SA for DH? really dont want to have to do it again. oh, it was all normal the first time around. my daughter is 14 months, so testing is roughly just over 2 years old.

I think it would depend on what the circumstances were for having #1.

Re: going back to RE and repeating tests?
For IVF, I don't think they'd do another HSG. But they will definitely do a SA, water sono, and possibly a endometrial biopsy. Plus the countless vials of bloodwork will be redone for both of you.

This is right. We have severe MF so we have to do IVF. We did everything over again for #2 except for the HSG b/c IVF is our only option and IVF bypasses the tubes so no need for an HSG.

Actually, it doesn't matter what the reason. You will both have to have full bloodwork done as it's been over a year since your last visit. The other stuff he will probably decide at your consult

I was also wondering the same thing. I wasn't sure if DH needed to come with me on my appt. with Dr. B.

I think they would def. do another SA. Men's counts can fluctuate.

Re: going back to RE and repeating tests?
My DS was 2 when we went back for #2 and my HSG did not have to be repeated and from what I recall neither did the SA....I have mild PCOS and no MF
