sometimes I put my hair in pigtail braids at the beach or if I have to run out quickly and having a bad hair day
I've been told I look like a kid with them though

DH and I were discussing having a french braid.
I saw a woman (@50 years old) with braided pig tails. Looked like a high school cheerleader IMO

i guess a french braid is a little "young" looking too.

When my hair was long enough I'd rock the braided pig tails or just one french braid down the back.
I guess it could be construde as childish, I never really gave it a thought myself; I just looked at it as a good way to keep my hair out of my face.

I think its a little childish as an adult, but I don't think its nearly as bad as the woman that walk around wearing juniors clothing and they CLEARLY cannot fit properly into them.

When my hair was just past my shoulders I would french braid it all the time... I was 28.
I actually got compliments on it too. I don't think it looked young on me. It was more professional to put it in a french braid as opposed to putting it in a claw clip, KWIM? Especially when I didn't blow dry my hair.

I think a single french braid, as long as the front of the hair looks appropriate, can be fine. I only do the pigtail braids on halloween or something....
