i just want to kill myself sometimes
some of u may know, me and "dh" are getting divorced.
anyway, he is being a complete azz when it comes to custody over the animals. i dont know what to do.
i have been crying all day because of it.
im trying to type up a statement and have it noterized and have us both sign it.
im wondering if i should get a lawyor to do it?

I just wanted to offer 
If you think it would be helpful to have a lawyer help draw up the contract, I don't think that can hurt. The lawyer may think of things you haven't considered and be able to find the best way to word the document. I know your pets are extremely important to you, so it may be helpful to have a lawyer help you. Good luck. I'm sorry you're going through this.

I am not on here much anymore and am so sorry to hear that you are going through a divorce
I know how much your pets mean to you, and it's terrible that your DH is using them against you. I agree with the other posters - def go through a lawyer and do everything legally and notarized. I hope this all works us.

I would get a lawyer. He knows how much you love your pets, and if you don't get it in writting and nip it in the bud now, he is going to threaten you with them over and over again.

as of now i have the 2 cats (and they will remain in my custody forever as they are both "mine') and the girls, Tink & Dharma.
Dh has Lukin right now. and i think he is going to keep him for always.
Dh was supposed to take Chewie (i got the pup FOR him) but d*cked me over so i gave him to my friend/coworker who was looking to get a bulldog puppy. her ex took their dog and moved so it was perfect timing i suppose.
im not sure whats going on with the girls for all time. i am assuming they are always mine, but i dont like splitting up lukin and tinky so who knows.
its frustrating an heartbreaking.
