Keg ?

I am having a Halloween party, about 45 people coming. About 20 of those will be drinking beer, and they are all heavy drinkers....do you think I should get a keg? TIA

Re: Keg ?

when you say heavy, how much is that? a keg is huge... for only 20 people that are heavy drinkers, I would say a quarter keg.

if i recall correctly from my party days, i 1/4 keg is 75 cups of beer and a keg is 150. i think you would be more than fine with the quarter keg.

That's about right, but I have to say with 20 of our heavy drinking friends (and us) 75 beers wouldn't be close to enough....that's basically 3 beers per person! I think 20 people could kick a keg at an all-night Halloween party....but maybe my friends are just lushes Chat Icon

ETA: Of course if you're having other drinks too, that would change things Chat Icon

Re: Keg ?

Kegs are always easier for house parties!! I love them. But a quarter should be fine for that amount of ppl. If you are weary, get the quarter and pick up a case of beer as well. This way you have back up. If you don't use it, you have it for the next party!

Re: Keg ?

Did you say they drink a CASE each?
Then you need a keg - a 1/4 keg isn't going to cut it -
